Epistolary Essays: Letters as Literature
Starting February 15, 2026
From Adichie’s A Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions to Ta-Nehisi Coates' Between the World and Me, to classics like Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, the epistolary form is a vehicle for urgent, intimate truth-telling. This 4-week workshop explores how letters become literature, through readings of Baldwin, Walker, Vuong, Rilke, Angelou and others. You’ll be guided to craft your own epistolary essays—whether unsent confessions, imagined historical correspondence, or public letters that witness and transform. Fiction and nonfiction writers all welcome.
When: Starts February 15 2026, 4 weekly sessions. Sundays at 11am-12.30pm EST.
What You’ll Get: All 4 live sessions, session slides and notes, course materials and readings, optional manuscript feedback,a supportive community, and at least one piece of writing you can be proud of.
